Your family room is likely the place you and your family hang out, lounge, binge watch your favorite TV show, host movie night and generally gather. Your next Family Room project will combine practicality, and functionality with comfort when you focus on these family room trends.

My Creative design process is messy and marvelous. If you’ve ever watched a popular television program that portrays Interior Designers executing a design project, you have marveled at the immaculate workspace they create to house their tools of the trade. Let’s just say that my design space resembles my 14-year old son’s room after he has engaged in a frenzied safari searching for the only acceptable t-shirt in his stash of hundreds.

Let’s face it, kids are cute, but they can be messy and a little hard on the home at times. With children playing tag in the living room and trails of goldfish crumbs around the house, the fear of maintaining a newly styled home is real. With proper planning and design, you can still design your dream home with kids!
